The Ohio House is scheduled to vote Wednesday afternoon on two bills that would, respectively, allow people age 21 or older to carry concealed firearms without a permit and roll back the number of training hours required for school employees to carry a gun on school grounds. COLUMBUS, Ohio—Ohioans would no longer need a license to carry a concealed firearm, and teachers would need less training to carry a gun in the classroom, under two bills passed by the Ohio House on Wednesday afternoon.

The bills -- House Bills 227 and 99 -- mark the latest attempts by the Republican-dominated Ohio General Assembly to roll back Ohio’s gun-control laws. Both measures now head to the Ohio Senate.
